Niger Tornadoes have been fined a total of N1.4m and ordered to play the remainder of their home games behind closed doors pending a meeting of the Nigeria Football Federation‘s Disciplinary Committee.
In addition, two officials of the supporters club have been handed indefinite bans by the Nigeria Premier League for initiating the violence.
According to KickoffNigeria.com, the decision followed last weekend‘s vicious assault on match officials in Minna where centre referee Gabroel Adigwe and his assistants were attacked by irate fans claiming that the official did not ‘help‘ them in their home games.
NPL‘s Head of Competition Tunji Babablola said: “NPL is particularly disturbed about the behaviour of Ahmed Ibrahim Katun, Niger Tornadoes Supporters Club Chairman and Abdulrasheed Yusuf for initiating the attack on the match officials.

We know that many F5M-MC members are not very good at advertising and promoting their F5M-MC business. Others have joined F5M-MC and saying they are willing to pay for an advertising service where they would have their F5M-MC business advertised automatically for them as they do not have time to promote. F5M-Millionaires Club does all kinds of high quality advertising and purchases lot of advertising for its own use. Some of the advertising that F5M-MC buys is not cheap. Quality advertising is more expensive but produces better results than spending much money on cheaper sources. From past advertising experience, it is better to buy higher cost, more expensive advertising as it has produced more results in the long run and costing you less then those cheaper sources. As with any kind of advertising there are no guarantees of any kind of results, no matter how much it costs. To make your advertising produce results depends on many factors which lot of new promoters do not know. We at F5M-MC constantly search and test many advertising sources. Once we have performed special tests and the source produces above average (or at least fair) results and passes our approval, we make deals to purchase at larger quantities to get discounts to be able to design this special package for F5M-MC members only.
In order for any business to have effective advertising, it needs to be promoted for a certain period of time to get noticed. Short term advertising usually is not very responsive and in most cases does not even produce fair results. Rooney, who scored twice in United's 3-2 first-leg victory at San Siro, took his season's tally to 30 with two more goals on Wednesday night as Sir Alex Ferguson's team booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Leonardo was left in awe of the in-form England striker and claimed the 24-year-old would only get better.
"I think this year Rooney can grow up even more," Leonardo said following his side's 7-2 aggregate defeat. "He's the complete player; strong, fast and he works hard."
"He does a lot of incredible movement and he's playing in a system that is perfect for him. United play at such speed and often on the counter-attack. That system, with Rooney, is incredible."
Ji-Sung Park and Darren Fletcher completed the scoring at Old Trafford in a scintillating attacking performance that left manager Ferguson in bullish mood.
"When we play like that we are very difficult to compete against," Ferguson said. "With that team I've got, it doesn't matter who we play next."
The United boss added to the plaudits pouring down on Rooney and said that new training routines had assisted his striker's progress.
"He's improved his movement in the box but he has also been practising a lot more this season than ever before," Ferguson said. "He's putting in extra work after training and I think you get the rewards of that. We try to encourage them all to do that. We've set little practices for a lot of players and they're responding to it."
